Electrical
Firing Systems
How about CHEAP!SHOT,
the most affordable electric firing system around.
A lot of small display operators want to use electrical firing but can't afford the price of the available firing panels. Frankly, neither could we. Do you remember the old shver ad on TV - "I liked the company so much I bought it" ? Well, we disliked the price of the then-available products so much we started our own company!
CHEAP!SHOT is designed to be an affordable electric firing panel suitable for small shows. It has all the features one expects and needs from an electric firing system, some features some more expensive systems don't have, and since we are a small and hungry company, we'll add anything else you want (for a fair price).

You can! We'll even sell you schematics, parts, and give you some advice on how to do it. However, it's not an evening's project. Be prepared to spend a lot of time drilling holes, filing the edges of square cutouts, soldering, etc... You should also realize that the final cost won't be a huge savings over buying the system from us- if we sell you the parts we have to make a fair profit, and if you buy the parts from some place like Radio Shack you will pay even more .
So why can make these things, sell em so cheap, and still make a fair profit? Simple - we own a slave labor camp in a third world country. Oh, wait, no, that's not it.
We can do it because we searched the electronics markets to find where we could buy the parts in bulk and get a good discount. We invested in labor saving machines and methods upfront. For example, we have a special machine to make the slats out of heavy duty 16 gauge aluminum, and it does it accurately and quickly. We have a printed ciruit board in the firing panel itself, and this makes assembly much more rapid than the individually wired switches and lights of some of the other systems. We do many other things to hold the costs down and facilitate production - just like Henry Ford did when he introduced the Model T. Finally, we are a young and hungry company, and we want to get your business through price, quality and customer satisfaction.
Some other people have told us that we don't have a nigh enough profit margin, and that we should ad 50 to 100% to our prices. Well, we have several responses to that:
